Story

Synopsis

At the age of eight, Crown Princess Pride Royal Ivy recovers memories of her past life as a Japanese high schooler, realizing she has reincarnated as the heinous final boss of an otome game. In the original storyline, Pride commits horrifying atrocities, torturing her adopted brother and driving her kingdom to ruin. Horrified by her predetermined destiny, Pride vows to use her formidable cheat-grade magical authority and supreme royal intellect to protect her subjects instead. Intervening in tragedies before they unfold, she earns the unyielding loyalty of knights, commoners, and future heroes who once despised her.

Adapted from Tenichi's popular light novel series illustrated by Suzunosuke, this villainess redemption anime was produced by studio OLM and directed by Norio Nitta. Premiering in July 2023 with twelve episodes, the television series distinguished itself within the reincarnation subgenre through its emotionally earnest tone, political reform narrative, and strong moral convictions. Voice actress Fairouz Ai delivered a powerful performance as Pride, garnering positive reviews from fantasy fans and light novel readers alike.
