1. Our respect for intellectual property

LifeHaki respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This Policy explains how copyright works on our Platform, how we source the material we display, and how rights-holders can ask us to remove content they believe infringes their rights.

2. How LifeHaki sources its content

LifeHaki is an informational catalog and community platform about anime. To be transparent about what we display and why:

  • Factual data – Titles, air dates, episode counts and numbering, season information, and the names of studios, staff, and characters are facts about creative works. Factual data is not protected by copyright. Some of this factual data is aggregated from public sources; this acknowledgement is not a claim that we license or an admission that we use any copyrightable material owned by them.
  • Editorial writing – Synopses, descriptions, editorial notes, and rankings published on LifeHaki are written or substantially rewritten by our editors and contributors. We do not knowingly copy protected synopsis text from third parties. See our Editorial Guidelines.
  • Images and artwork – Cover art, posters, and character images are the property of their respective anime studios, licensors, publishers, and rights-holders. Where such images are displayed, they are used for the purpose of identification, commentary, review, and information about the works, in a manner we believe to be a fair use / fair dealing. All trademarks, logos, and images remain the property of their respective owners.
  • User-generated content – Reviews, ratings, lists, comments, and other contributions are created by our users, who are responsible for their own submissions.

If you are a rights-holder and believe any specific material on LifeHaki exceeds fair use / fair dealing or infringes your rights, we will act promptly on a valid notice as set out below.

7. Repeat infringers

In accordance with applicable law, LifeHaki has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also limit access to, suspend, or terminate the account of any user who infringes the intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is repeat infringement.

8. Trademarks

Anime titles, character names, studio names, logos, and related marks are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. LifeHaki’s use of such marks is for identification and informational purposes and does not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by, the trademark owners.
