Synopsis

Class 1-A is assigned to an island for work studies where the local heroes are minimal and the population is small, which becomes catastrophic when a villain group with a genuinely dangerous quirk arrives. Cut off from professional support, the students have to function as the island's only defense, coordinating without adult supervision against an opponent operating well above their level. The film pushes Deku and Bakugo toward a collaboration that the series had spent years making seem impossible. Every student contributes, which is precisely what the film sets out to demonstrate.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Produced by Bones and adapted from Kohei Horikoshi's manga, Heroes Rising was a substantial box office success and is generally regarded as the strongest of the My Hero Academia films, praised for giving the full class meaningful action and for a climax that Horikoshi reportedly considered as a potential ending for the manga itself. The franchise became one of the defining modern shonen properties globally, with extensive merchandise, film, and cultural reach across international markets. Its climax was reportedly considered as a possible conclusion for the manga itself, which gives the film unusual narrative significance within the franchise.
