Story

Synopsis

Rejected by every training academy in the royal capital due to lacking any recognized combat or magical aptitudes, Noor spent fifteen grueling years living in isolation on a mountain, training his singular low-rank skill: Parrying. Unbeknownst to him, repeating the fundamental sword deflection motion millions of times elevated his parry to godlike extremes, allowing him to deflect falling boulders, dragon fire, and divine magic effortlessly. Retaining complete, humble ignorance of his absurd strength, Noor rescues Princess Lynne and defends the kingdom from dragon invasions, genuinely convinced he is merely an ordinary, untalented rookie performing basic chores.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Adapted from Nabeshiki's comedic fantasy light novel series illustrated by Kawaguchi, *I Parry Everything* was animated by studio OLM and directed by Dai Fukuyama. Airing twelve episodes in summer 2024, the television series charmed fantasy audiences through its hilarious misunderstanding comedy, spectacular swordplay set-pieces, and Noor's endearing sincerity. Broadcast across Tokyo MX and streamed internationally on HIDIVE, the show gained a loyal worldwide following for its lighthearted action and earnest protagonist.
