Misao Abe is a Japanese animator, formerly credited under her maiden name Nakano Misao, and a Studio Dub alumna, a Sunrise-affiliated workshop known for training key animators who went on to shape several of the studio's signature productions [1]. Her key animation career stretches back to the early 1980s and continues to the present, more than 40 years concentrated heavily in mecha and action franchises: Armored Trooper Votoms, Saint Seiya, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, and Bubblegum Crisis in the 1980s and 1990s, followed by Bleach, Code Geass, Eureka Seven, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, and Naruto Shippuden through the 2000s and 2010s, and more recently JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Kaiju No. 8, Terminator 0, and Your Form [1].
