In a twentieth-century world where magic is harnessed as a scientific technology, First High School segregates students based on entrance examination scores. Prodigious younger sister Miyuki Shiba enters the celebrated First Course as an elite Bloom, while her stoic older brother Tatsuya is relegated to the reserve Second Course Weed division. Despite his scored deficiencies in conventional casting, Tatsuya possesses unmatched engineering brilliance, unique combat perception, and lethal covert military capabilities. As terrorist threats and international sabotage target the campus, Tatsuya quietly dismantles hostile conspiracies, proving academic classifications mean nothing in actual warfare.

Tatsuya is the most gifted and extraordinary guy around, but the phonies at his magic school won't realize it until he shows 'em. Rebecca Silverman investigates.
After debating with myself, I decided this deserves at least a three. No more, no less, but you can chalk down a couple stars if you prefer serious subject matters.
Richard EisenbeisThe Irregular at Magic High School Season 3
Tatsuya makes a plan to deal with it. The plan works without a hitch, and everything is resolved. This is the pattern for all three arcs of this season.
