Story

Synopsis

A millennium ago, the flourishing Kingdom of the Vale fractured when royal twin princes clashed in civil war, disturbing the cosmic Dragon Force energy that nurtured their land. The kingdom was preserved only when the sovereign king sacrificed himself, sealing the energy beneath the colossal floating fortress known as the Sword of the Vale with the help of the mythical creature Victini. In modern times, a determined royal descendant named Damon harnesses the legendary white dragon Reshiram to lift the castle and restore his lost kingdom, inadvertently triggering catastrophic energy storms that threaten all existence.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Studios OLM, Production I.G, and Xebec collaborated to produce this ambitious ninety-six-minute animated feature film, released by TOHO in Japanese theaters in July 2011. Premiering simultaneously with its parallel counterpart *White - Victini and Zekrom*, the project marked the very first dual theatrical release in franchise history. Directed by Kunihiko Yuyama and written by Hideki Sonoda, the movie served as the inaugural cinematic adventure for the *Best Wishes!* series. The dual films achieved massive commercial success, earning over 4.3 billion yen at the domestic box office while showcasing legendary dragons.
