Biography
Kyoko Kotani is a Japanese animator credited across key animation, animation direction, and chief animation director roles on several hundred anime productions [1]. She has held chief animation director posts on Blue Lock, Ghost Hunt, and Junji Ito Maniac, and has worked as animation director or key animator across major franchises including Kuroko no Basket, the Gundam series (including Iron-Blooded Orphans and The Witch from Mercury), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2, and Baccano! [1]. Her credits also extend beyond television anime into video games, including character-motion key animation on Wario Land: Shake It and animation work on Wild ARMs: Advanced 3rd [1]. As with most career key animators, little personal biography is publicly documented: no birthdate, birthplace, or interview material could be verified beyond her credit filmography, which nonetheless marks her as one of the more consistently working animation directors in television anime production over the past two decades.
