One choice, infinite timelines, one last chance.
Synopsis
Rintaro Okabe faces the emotional fallout of the choices he made across the Steins;Gate timeline, forced to confront a painful decision involving Kurisu Makise that he thought he'd already resolved. When new complications threaten to unravel the fragile happy ending he fought so hard to secure, he has to decide whether meddling with time again is worth the risk of losing everything he's rebuilt. The film leans harder into romance and emotional stakes than the original series, closing out loose threads for its most devoted fans.

This feature film sequel to Steins;Gate isn't as good as the series, and uses a hoary plot device done umpteen times in anime. Yet it succeeds in honouring the original, finding a workable new angle that stays true to the characters with a different viewpoint.
