Story

Synopsis

Odokawa drives a taxi through a city full of anthropomorphic animals, quietly listening to his passengers' problems while keeping his own life carefully guarded. When a missing high school girl becomes the center of a widening web of criminals, idols, and desperate people making terrible decisions, Odokawa's seemingly mundane routine turns out to be tangled up in it more than anyone, including him, initially realizes. It is a slow-burn neo-noir mystery dressed up in deceptively cute animal character designs, using that contrast to sneak in genuinely sharp social commentary and one of the tightest plots in recent anime.
