Story

Synopsis

When the young grandson of the Third Hokage, Konohamaru, develops a sweet childhood crush on a girl named Yoshino who is moving away, he becomes determined to give her an unforgettable farewell gift. Learning of a mythical crimson four-leaf clover that grants any wish, Konohamaru sneaks off into the perilous Akagahara training zone to find it. Naruto Uzumaki rushes to assist his self-proclaimed rival, joined by teammates Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. Together, the young genin must navigate lethal booby traps, mechanical puppets, and aggressive wild beasts, proving that heartfelt childhood affection is worth braving any danger.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Originally screened at the Jump Festa 2003 anime event before being released on home video, *Naruto: Find the Crimson Four-leaf Clover!* is a seventeen-minute special produced by Studio Pierrot. Directed by Hayato Date, the short represents one of the earliest standalone animated side stories in the franchise, set during the foundational genin period of Team 7. The special is fondly remembered by longtime fans for highlighting the charming big-brother dynamic between Naruto and Konohamaru, accented by colorful early-series humor and youthful ninja bravery.
