Synopsis

Kazuma Sato and his chaotic party, the explosion-obsessed Megumin, the self-destructive goddess Aqua, and the masochistic knight Darkness, get roped into stopping a demon general's invasion, mostly because avoiding it seemed like more effort than just dealing with it. True to form, the group's incompetence and mutual bickering somehow still manage to save the day, wrapped in the franchise's trademark parody of fantasy isekai tropes and its cast's endless capacity for embarrassing themselves. Expect big dumb heroics undercut by even bigger dumb jokes. Fans of the TV seasons will find the same lovable chaos here.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Based on Natsume Akatsuki's light novels, KonoSuba built its reputation by gleefully mocking the very isekai genre it belongs to, turning typical fantasy adventure clichés into setups for constant humiliation and slapstick. This film, produced by Studio DEEN, gave the beloved dysfunctional party a bigger canvas without losing the scrappy, self-aware comedy that made the TV seasons such a hit. KonoSuba remains one of the most influential isekai comedies, frequently credited with helping popularize the genre's more self-parodying subgenre. It remains a fan favorite for anyone wanting isekai that refuses to take itself seriously.
