Synopsis
Okuto Nakamura is sixteen, deeply closeted, and completely infatuated with his classmate Aiki Hirose, whom he has never actually spoken to. Intensely introverted, he constructs elaborate fantasies and increasingly convoluted schemes designed to engineer situations where the two might interact, essentially all of which collapse into comedic disaster. Slowly, through sheer accumulated failure, Nakamura builds enough confidence to actually approach Hirose, and something resembling a genuine friendship starts to form between them. Every failed scheme somehow leaves him marginally braver than the last one did, and the comedy never comes at the expense of his genuine feelings. The tone stays consistently kind.
