Synopsis
Major Motoko Kusanagi leads Public Security Section 9, an elite counter-cyberterrorism unit operating in a near-future Japan where minds can be hacked as easily as computers. This season follows the team as they untangle the Laughing Man case, a mysterious hacker whose identity and motives spiral into questions about corporate corruption, memory manipulation, and what selfhood even means once technology can rewrite it.
