Synopsis
Satoru Fujinuma involuntarily jumps a few minutes back in time whenever something terrible is about to happen nearby, an ability he treats as an inconvenient reflex rather than a gift. When a tragedy strikes close to home, the phenomenon throws him eighteen years into the past, into his own ten-year-old body, weeks before a series of child abductions that devastated his hometown. Armed with adult knowledge and a child's total lack of credibility, he tries to change an outcome he has spent his whole life failing to understand.
