Synopsis

The Final Chapters bring Attack on Titan's sprawling war to its conclusion, as Eren Yeager's catastrophic plan to unleash the Rumbling threatens to wipe out nearly all of humanity outside Paradis. Former friends now stand on opposing sides, forced to decide whether stopping Eren is a betrayal or the only way to save what remains of the world. It is a bleak, morally exhausting endgame, deliberately denying anyone a clean, comfortable victory. Years of buildup around freedom, hatred, and generational trauma finally collide here, for better or worse, in an ending that split its audience as much as it satisfied them.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season - Kanketsu-hen is the concluding animated chapter of Attack on Titan, based on Hajime Isayama's manga, produced first by MAPPA and completed with additional animation work to deliver the manga's ending on screen. Released as special episodes wrapping up the Final Season, it aired in two parts, bringing a decade-long, globally massive franchise to its close. The ending proved deeply divisive among fans and critics, sparking extensive debate over its themes and resolution, but the series as a whole remains one of the most influential and widely discussed anime of the 2010s and 2020s.
