Synopsis

Years after uncovering the sinister origins of the Third-type androids on Mars, renegade cybernetic operative Naomi Armitage lives peacefully on Earth alongside her human husband, Ross Sylibus, and their young daughter Yoko. However, their domestic happiness is shattered when a bloody corporate raid on an offshore robotics research facility exposes advanced android human rights initiatives. Opposed to android equality, ruthless robotics magnate Demetrio Mardini unleashes mass-produced military combat clones to capture Armitage and dissect Yoko to unlock the biological secrets of machine reproduction. Forced out of hiding, Armitage unleashes lethal firepower across Chicago to rescue her captured family.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Directed by Katsuhito Akiyama and produced by studio AIC and Pioneer LDC, *Armitage III: Dual-Matrix* was released in 2002 as the feature-length sequel to the iconic cyberpunk franchise. Featuring an English dub starring Hollywood actress Juliette Lewis as Naomi Armitage and Kelly Hu as Rene D'anclaude, the production showcased an ambitious blend of traditional 2D character animation and high-octane 3D computer graphics. Commended for its visceral action sequences and thoughtful philosophical exploration of synthetic sentience, motherhood, and civil liberties, the film concluded the acclaimed sci-fi saga on an emotionally resonant note.
