Story

Synopsis

Vivy is an AI singer with one simple job: make people happy through song. That changes when a mysterious visitor from the future tasks her with preventing an eventual AI uprising that will devastate humanity, a mission that spans a hundred years and forces Vivy to intervene in pivotal historical moments far beyond her original purpose. As she adapts and grows across decades, Vivy has to reconcile her core programming with the increasingly heavy moral weight of altering history to save a future she'll never fully understand.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
An original anime produced by Wit Studio, Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song earned strong critical praise for its ambitious, tightly plotted science fiction narrative, a rarity among original anime that often struggle to stick a satisfying ending. Its blend of time-travel plotting, AI ethics, and genuinely moving character growth across a century-spanning story set it apart from typical sci-fi action anime. It's frequently cited as one of the best original anime of its release year, praised for treating its ambitious premise with real narrative discipline from start to finish.
