About the studio
Wit Studio was founded June 1, 2012 by producers George Wada and Tetsuya Nakatake, both coming out of Production I.G, as a subsidiary of parent company IG Port. Based in Musashino, Tokyo, Wit Studio wasted no time making an impact: it produced the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, one of the biggest anime franchises of the 2010s, along with the first season of Vinland Saga and, more recently, Spy x Family. *Going from founded-in-2012 to defining the decade's biggest shonen hit in under two years is an absurdly fast rise.* Its lineage from Production I.G shows in its technically ambitious, often cinematic approach to action and pacing. Just over a decade old, Wit Studio has already built a résumé that plenty of 40-year-old studios would envy, proof that pedigree and the right founding team can compress a very long learning curve.
