Story
Synopsis
On Christmas Eve in Tokyo, three homeless people, a middle-aged alcoholic, a trans woman, and a runaway teenage girl, find an abandoned newborn in the trash. Rather than handing her to the authorities, they decide to locate her parents themselves, and the search drags all three through the city and directly into their own abandoned pasts. What could easily be sentimental instead lands as something sharper and funnier, driven by three people who genuinely irritate each other and have nowhere else to go. Every coincidence along the way feels engineered by something larger than chance.
