Story

Synopsis

Satoru Mikami is stabbed in a street mugging and wakes up in a fantasy world as a slime, the weakest monster available, with an ability that lets him absorb and replicate anything he consumes. Naming himself Rimuru, he befriends a sealed dragon, absorbs a considerable amount of the local ecosystem, and starts organizing goblins, ogres, and assorted monsters into an actual functioning settlement. What begins as accidental power accumulation turns into deliberate nation-building, complete with infrastructure, diplomacy, and the administrative headaches those bring. Every monster he absorbs expands what his growing settlement is capable of building.
