On a desolate coastal headland beside a tranquil sea, a young pigtailed girl lives alone inside a quiet, isolated house, tending daily domestic chores with gentle serenity. Completely unaware of her own profound isolation, she is surrounded by everyday household objects, including a clothespeg, a toothbrush, and a window frame, that possess quiet, observant consciousness. The sentient items whisper sorrowful stories about the past, observing masked emergency decontamination workers passing by in the distance. When an unexpected masked visitor arrives offering a pivotal choice, the girl confronts the lingering reality of modern nuclear disaster.
