Synopsis

Episode of Sabo weaves together one of One Piece's most emotional threads: the bond between three sworn brothers, Luffy, Ace, and Sabo. It revisits their childhood pledge and the tragedies that tore them apart, then carries into the Dressrosa storyline, where Sabo, long believed dead, resurfaces as a top figure in the Revolutionary Army. Reuniting with Luffy amid the chaos of Dressrosa, Sabo takes up his late brother Ace's flame-flame power and a mission of his own. It is a special built around grief, brotherhood, and inherited will, retelling key beats to spotlight the miraculous, tear-soaked reunion at its heart.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Episode of Sabo: The Three Brothers' Bond is a feature-length One Piece television special produced by Toei Animation and aired in 2015, timed to accompany the anime's Dressrosa arc. It recaps and reframes canon events, the brothers' backstory and Sabo's dramatic return, from Sabo's perspective, blending flashback material with then-current Dressrosa developments. Because it repackages existing story beats into a summarized special, it functions as a companion piece rather than new canon, though the underlying events are very much part of Oda's manga. For fans emotionally invested in the Ace-Sabo-Luffy trio, it is a concentrated dose of one of the series' most affecting relationships.
