Synopsis
The Straw Hats arrive at a tropical resort island run by the mysterious Baron Omatsuri, expecting rest and games. Instead, they are funneled into a series of increasingly cruel trials designed to test their bonds, and slowly, eerily, the crew begins to fracture. This film is famous for its unsettling tone: what starts as bright and festive curdles into something dark and psychological, as the island's true, tragic secret comes to light. Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island is the sixth One Piece film, released in March 2005 by Toei Animation. It is the franchise's most stylistically daring movie, guided by director Mamoru Hosoda, who later became a celebrated filmmaker with works like Wolf Children and Summer Wars.
