Fujipacific Music started in March 1966 as Pacific Music Publishing, a subsidiary of Nippon Broadcasting System, reorganizing under its current name in 1985 after Ichiro Asatsuma, who'd joined back in 1966, became its president. Based in Kita-Aoyama, Minato, Tokyo, and part of the larger Fujisankei Communications Group alongside Fuji Media Holdings, Fujipacific handles copyright administration and music licensing for anime scores and theme songs, with reported involvement in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Attack on Titan, and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. *One employee joining in year one and eventually becoming president of the whole company two decades later, that's a genuinely loyal career.* Nearly 60 years since its founding, Fujipacific remains one of the quieter but consistently present names in anime's music rights ecosystem, the company making sure composers and songwriters actually get paid when their work plays over your favorite scenes.
