Story
Synopsis
The war between the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance continues to escalate, with Reinhard von Lohengramm and Yang Wen-li maneuvering across a battlefield where numerical superiority repeatedly fails against superior tactical thinking. Political pressure from both governments constrains their commanders in ways the enemy never could, and the story remains as interested in the institutional rot behind each side as in the battles themselves. Individual officers, soldiers, and civilians bear the cost of decisions made far from any actual fighting. Every victory raises the question of what either side is actually fighting for.
