Synopsis
A bomber with an architectural obsession begins planting devices across Tokyo, communicating through calls that Conan quickly recognizes as connected to a specific designer's work. The case escalates until Ran is trapped with a device requiring a decision Conan cannot make for her, forcing the closest thing to a confession the franchise had attempted at that point. The film establishes the template every subsequent Conan movie would follow, pairing a fair-play mystery with an escalating physical threat. Every device planted narrows the time available before someone Conan knows dies.
