Story

Synopsis

Hitori Gotou is so crushingly shy that she practices her guitar alone in her room, dreaming of band stardom she is convinced will never actually happen to someone like her. When she is unexpectedly recruited into a struggling band, her chaotic anxiety collides head-on with real musical talent, and the results are equal parts hilarious and oddly touching. Between panic attacks, cardboard-box disguises, and genuinely great original songs, Bocchi's growth from a girl who cannot make eye contact into someone who can stand on stage feels earned rather than easy, wrapped in some of the sharpest comedic timing in recent anime.
