About the studio
CloverWorks was carved out of A-1 Pictures' Kōenji Studio, rebranding April 1, 2018 and completing its full spin-off as an independent studio on October 1, 2018. Based in Suginami, Tokyo, and remaining a subsidiary of Aniplex, CloverWorks quickly built a résumé that includes Spy x Family, The Promised Neverland, My Dress-Up Darling, and Horimiya. *Barely out of its first studio's shadow before becoming a genuinely major name in its own right.* Its close relationship with A-1 Pictures gives it access to a lot of the same institutional experience and Aniplex backing, but CloverWorks has developed a distinct identity built around emotionally sharp, visually polished modern hits. Less than a decade old, it's already become one of the studios fans specifically look out for, a level of recognition most studios take considerably longer to earn.
