Story

Synopsis

In a feudal world where innate skills dictate human destiny, young castle gatekeeper Fate Graphite is despised and abused by the ruling Holy Knights due to his seemingly worthless Gluttony skill, which inflicts constant starving hunger. His tragic life takes a terrifying turn when he slays an infiltrating bandit and feels an intoxicating rush: Gluttony's true power awakens, devouring the slain victim's soul and permanently absorbing their combat skills. Purchasing the sentient black blade Greed, Fate leaves his oppressors behind. He embarks on a dark path of monster slaughter, fighting to control his appetite before it consumes his sanity.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Adapted from Isshiki Ichika's dark fantasy light novel series illustrated by Fame, *Berserk of Gluttony* was produced by studio A.C.G.T. and directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa. Airing twelve episodes in fall 2023 across Tokyo MX and BS11, the television anime captivated dark fantasy fans with its visceral monster battles, satisfying antihero progression, and dynamic banter between voice talents Ryota Ohsaka and Tomokazu Seki. Distributed internationally on Crunchyroll, the series proved a solid, reliable streaming performer across global markets.
