Synopsis
Yukio Tanaka is fourteen, unremarkable, and completely adrift until a chance encounter with a guitarist named Ryusuke introduces him to rock music and a patchwork dog named Beck. Picking up a guitar changes the trajectory of his entire life, and the story follows the band's grinding, unglamorous climb through small venues, label politics, and the ordinary humiliations of being young and untalented before becoming young and talented. Music is treated as genuine labor, and Koyuki's growth is measured in practice hours rather than sudden breakthroughs.
