Story
Synopsis
Sung Jinwoo is the weakest hunter in a world where "gates" to monster-filled dungeons have turned certain people into humanity's front line of defense. Written off as barely useful, he nearly dies in a deadly double dungeon that wipes out most of his party. He survives, but wakes up bound to a mysterious "System," a game-like interface only he can see, that lets him grow stronger with every dungeon he clears, no matter how strong he already is. As Jinwoo starts leveling up at an impossible rate, he uncovers secrets about the gates, and about himself, that no other hunter has ever lived long enough to find.

Solo Leveling is based on Chugong's novel and its immensely popular webtoon adaptation illustrated by Dubu (REDICE Studio), animated by A-1 Pictures, and airing in January 2024. It became one of the most-watched anime of its year, driven by the property's massive existing global webtoon readership and praised for delivering some of the most spectacular action animation of its season.
