Studio White Fox produced this fifty-seven-minute historical samurai anime film, released across Japanese theaters in June 2018 as the first part of a celebratory theatrical duology. Directed by Shigeru Kimiya and written by Eiji Umehara, the project adapted the dramatic later chapters of Nanae Chrono's popular manga *Peace Maker Kurogane*. Featuring voice talents Yuki Kaji as teenage Tetsunosuke and Takahiro Sakurai as Susumu Yamazaki, the production captured the tragic romanticism of the Bakumatsu era, delivering kinetic sword fights, detailed period uniforms, and an emotionally resonant exploration of fraternal loyalty.
