Synopsis

The Straw Hats wake to a nightmare: their beloved ship, the Going Merry, has been stolen, and Nami vanished along with it. The culprits are the Trump Siblings, a band of thieves who haul their loot back to the gear-and-spring maze of Clockwork Island, ruled by the villainous Bear King. So Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji mount a rescue, scaling a bizarre mechanical city full of traps to reclaim their ship and their navigator. It is the crew's second big-screen outing: pure adventure, gadget-packed set pieces, and the kind of stubborn loyalty that makes the Straw Hats charge headfirst into danger, every single time.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Clockwork Island Adventure is the second One Piece film, released in Japan in March 2001 by Toei Animation, back when the crew was still small and their journey still young. Like most early One Piece movies, it is a self-contained, non-canon romp designed to pair with a school-holiday film festival for kids. The story does not slot into the manga timeline, so do not go hunting for continuity clues. It is fondly remembered for its energetic action and inventive island design. If the TV series is the main course, these early films are tasty little side dishes: satisfying on their own, and asking for zero commitment.
