Story

Synopsis

Before departing on his fateful missions, Itachi Uchiha undertakes what he considers his most demanding assignment: preparing the perfect sunny-side-up fried egg for his younger brother Sasuke. Donning a kitchen apron over his Akatsuki cloak, Itachi approaches the skillet with lethal seriousness. When common culinary methods fail to produce immaculate yolks, he activates his Sharingan, summons spectral crows, and manifests the divine armor of Susanoo to regulate cooking temperature. Confused and hungry, Sasuke watches in total bewilderment as his stoic older sibling treats breakfast preparation as a life-or-death shinobi duel of precision and pride.

Originally screened at the Jump Super Anime Tour in 2013 before its inclusion as a bonus anime with *Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution*, *Naruto Shippuden: Sunny Side Battle* was animated by Studio Pierrot. The comedic short parodies the high-stakes melodramatics of the Uchiha clan by applying earth-shattering ninjutsu to mundane kitchen tasks. Beloved by franchise fans for giving the tragic Uchiha brothers a rare moment of lighthearted domestic absurdity, the special remains one of the funniest official spin-offs produced for the series.
