Story

Synopsis

Fujino, a confident elementary schooler proud of her comic strips in the school newspaper, meets her match in Kyomoto, a reclusive classmate whose artwork is unmistakably better. Rivalry slowly, quietly turns into genuine creative partnership as the two girls grow up together chasing careers in manga, their friendship becoming the backbone of both their lives. Look Back is based on Tatsuki Fujimoto's one-shot manga, the creator of Chainsaw Man, animated by Studio Durian and directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, released theatrically in 2024.
