Story

Synopsis

Chiikawa is a small, round, perpetually anxious little creature living in a whimsical world alongside friends Hachiware and Usagi, taking on odd jobs, battling monsters for money, and just generally trying to survive each day without crying too much. Beneath the adorable, minimalist art style sits a surprisingly relatable, occasionally melancholic look at exhaustion, financial stress, and the small joys that make ordinary struggle bearable. Each short episode is a tiny slice of comfort and gentle chaos, equal parts cute and quietly, unexpectedly poignant, and oddly comforting to return to again and again.

Chiikawa is based on Nagano's webcomic, adapted into a short-form anime produced by Doga Kobo, airing since 2022.
