To prepare for an inevitable, earth-shattering deathmatch against his father, the undefeated Ogre Yujiro Hanma, teenage fighting prodigy Baki Hanma must push his physical limits beyond human comprehension. In a shocking gambit, Baki abducts the President of the United States, forcing international authorities to incarcerate him inside Arizona State Prison. Within the brutal walls of the Black Pentagon, Baki confronts Biscuit Oliva, an untouchable powerhouse possessing inhuman muscle density. Engaging in visceral, bone-crushing hand-to-hand combat against psychotic inmates and genetic behemoths, Baki unlocks transcendent physical strength for his ultimate family showdown.

Produced by TMS Entertainment and released globally via Netflix in September 2021, *Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre* adapts the third major installment of Keisuke Itagaki's iconic martial arts manga. Directed by Toshiki Hirano with dynamic character designs by Shingo Ishikawa, the series became an international streaming sensation. Celebrated for its hyper-exaggerated anatomy, brutal fight choreography, and intense psychological confrontations, the anime faithfully captured the brutal combat philosophy that has defined the *Baki* franchise for over thirty years.
I thought Baki Hanma lacked same surprise and spectacle that most fans have come to expect from the series. And then, in the next episode, Baki kidnaps a legally distinct George W. Bush.
