About the studio
Omnibus Promotion was founded August 1, 1963, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, and despite the name sounding like it could be a talent agency, it's actually a sound effects and audio post-production house, also operating under the name Requiem Studio. *A company whose entire job is making sure things sound right, which is exactly the kind of work that goes unnoticed when it's done well.* Its résumé is genuinely remarkable: Omnibus Promotion handled foley and sound effects work on multiple Studio Ghibli films, including Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, along with Patlabor and Urusei Yatsura. Over 60 years in, this is a company whose fingerprints are all over some of the most beloved animated films ever made, even though almost nobody watching those films could tell you its name.
