The Garden of Words

Takao Akizuki skips his morning classes whenever it rains, spending the time in a garden pavilion sketching shoe designs. There he meets Yukari Yukino, an older woman drinking beer and eating chocolate at ten in the morning, who is clearly avoiding something she will not explain. They meet repeatedly through the rainy season without exchanging names, building something neither can categorize, and the eventual revelation of who she actually is makes the situation considerably more complicated than either anticipated. Every meeting depends entirely on weather neither of them controls in any way.
