Story

Synopsis

Produced as a comedic theatrical short screened before feature-length anime presentations, this delightful featurette features the beloved cast of Re:Zero in adorable chibi animation. Setting up inside a bustling fantasy movie theater, Subaru Natsuki, Emilia, Rem, Ram, and the Great Spirit Puck take the stage to instruct audience members on proper cinema etiquette. From scolding attendees about speaking loudly during scenes and kicking the seats in front of them to confiscating ringing smartphones, Subaru uses manic physical humor to enforce proper theater manners while trying to impress Emilia.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers

As the presentation proceeds, Rem and Ram relentlessly tease Subaru for his dramatic lecturing style, while Puck uses freezing ice magic to comically ice-block Subaru whenever he attempts to flirt with Emilia. Subaru demonstrates the catastrophic consequences of recording movie screens by suffering an over-the-top slapstick punishment. When the entire cinema audience is safely reminded to turn off their phones and enjoy the movie quietly, Emilia smiles warmly and thanks everyone for their cooperation, allowing the main theatrical feature to begin on a cheerful note with the audience laughing.
