Synopsis
The Sailor Guardians face Shadow Galactica and Sailor Galaxia in a conflict that strips away allies one by one, leaving Usagi progressively more isolated as the entities she has relied on are taken from her. The confrontation eventually reaches the source of the corruption threatening the galaxy, and the resolution depends on Usagi choosing something other than the fight everyone expects. The film adapts the final arc of the original manga, which earlier adaptations handled quite differently. Every ally taken from her narrows what Usagi has left to fight with.

The Crystal adaptation aimed to follow the manga more closely than the beloved but heavily divergent original television series.
