Moment of Truth

Inspired by the classical Chinese poetic romance, an earnest scholar named Cui Hu travels through the tranquil countryside south of the capital during the spring Qingming Festival. Seeking water to quench his thirst after a long walk, he knocks on the wooden gate of a secluded farmhouse surrounded by blooming pink peach trees. A graceful young maiden opens the door, offering him clear spring water with shy hospitality. Captivated by her gentle beauty framed against blossoming branches, the scholar falls deeply in love, but departs without revealing his heart, promising to return when the seasons change.
