Story
Synopsis
In the vast underground pleasure district of Yoshiwara, Gintoki meets Seita, an orphaned pickpocket searching for a mother he believes may be Hinowa, the district's top courtesan. Yoshiwara's courtesans live under the control of Housen, whose overwhelming strength has let him seize every interest in the district. What starts as a small favor turns into a full assault on an entrenched power structure, with the Yorozuya, the Shinsengumi, and several other factions converging on a fight the district has needed for a very long time.

Announced at the Gintama Multiverse Festival as part of the franchise's twentieth anniversary project, this compilation film covers episodes 139 to 146 of the anime, the Yoshiwara in Flames arc, with newly animated scenes and characters who did not appear in the original television version. Directed by Naoya Ando with Yoichi Fujita supervising, it released in February 2026. Tomokazu Sugita, Daisuke Sakaguchi, and Rie Kugimiya return as the Yorozuya trio, and the arc is one of the most beloved serious stretches in the entire series.
