Story
Synopsis
Tetsuo is an introverted teenage boy whose severe social anxiety prevented him from speaking to anyone other than Yukidama, the sentient combat mech he pilots for the Earth Defense Force. During the final desperate battle against monstrous extraterrestrial invaders in deep orbit, Tetsuo enters emergency cryogenic slumber while Yukidama executes an atmospheric descent. Awakening eight years later, Tetsuo discovers a horrifying reality: the planetary climate collapsed, burying the entire globe beneath a permanent frozen ice age. Guided by the dying memories of his mech, Tetsuo traverses frozen wastelands, searching for surviving human enclaves while fighting subterranean beasts.
